CHERUB: The Recruit

The Recruit is the first book in a 12 book series called CHERUB. CHERUBS are kids that go on missions because they are the least suspected people to take down drug dealers, murderers, bank robbers and anyone that is a potential threat to anyone or anything.

The main character is 12 year old James Adams. James lives with his mum, his sister Lauren and his step-father. James gets himself expelled from school after hurting a female student and his teacher after the student bullied James for having an obese. shoplifting mother. James' mother dies and James and Lauren must part ways as Lauren stays with James' step-father and James goes to a boarding school. James gets arrested for stealing beers with some "friends" and then moves to the CHERUB campus. James has to be tutored before basic training and is taught to swim by 16 year old CHERUB, Amy Collins.  James enters Basic Training and is partnered with Kerry Chang.  They both make it through Basic Training and return to CHERUB campus. When James returns he finds Lauren to be there too. James is sent on his first mission with Amy and they must take down a terrorist organisation called Help Earth. They succeed and James receives much praise.

This book is a great read for anyone but contains some course language. The Recruit get's an 8/10.

The Hunger Games

This book would have to be one of my favourite books I've ever read. The action is non-stop and the story is full of twists and turns.

All up I find this book very enjoyable and I reccomend it to anyone who likes books with action and emotion.

This book, The Hunger Games, gets a 5 star rating.
